Down in Brisbane on the weekend for a Teapot Workshop.
Official opening
for GRID II will be 6.30pm on Friday 12th February at the
Hervey Bay Regional Gallery. See you there.
The
Alford Park All Abilities playground creative tiling project is still
continuing. Sam is one of
the artist mentors in the creation of the public art. Stephanie Outridge-Field is the art project
co-ordinator.
Bizzart Day at the
Gympie Regional Gallery is February 28th.Celebrating the Gallery's birthday.
Lots of demonstrations, information and fun.
Domestic ware alternatives, (functional, with edge) Decorative
(brightly coloured, zany) non-functional work, limited edition of
porcelain jewellery. (You must be out-there to wear!) Exhibition
work and/or 'artist in residency' welcomed. Sams's work is available
at her studio or at the Gympie Regional Gallery Shop. Sam
was curator for the exhibition "Native Pods - a creative
interpretation" at the Gympie Regional Gallery, from 24th
February - 4th April 2009.
From
'Sam's Teapot Show,' the teapot "Out of Africa" image is in the July
2008 47#2 edition of Australian Ceramics magazine.
"Famine"
teapot has been purchased by an overseas teapot collector and
gallery owner in
California. A pair of 'teapot earrings' have also
been purchased by an overseas client.

works in progress. Stay tuned!
For
2010 the class will be held on Wednesdays 3pm-5pm. Lots of fun
and ceramic skills as well. Plus wheel work!
